A.A.A. ACTIVITIES

A meeting of the Hamilton Branch of the A.A.A. will be held at Hamilton this evening and will be addressed by members of the council of the parent body. The meeting is called for the purpose of reconsidering the status of the branch, and will discuss proposed enlargement of the activities and extension of the association’s services. The insurance scheme will also be explained. * * * Last Wednesday evening the service officer addressed a meeting of motorists at Paeroa, presided over by the Mayor. Mr. H. Marshall. Several members were enrolled and Messrs. Hare Bros, were appointed official representatives in the district For the information of motorists interested in the thermal regions the A.A.A. is about to issue a detailed folder map of Rotorua and its approaches. An unusually large scale has been observed and all important roads circuiting the lakes are shown. The A.A.A. will supply 4,000 of these maps free of charge. The map has already been approved by the Rotorua Borough Council.
