NEW LYNN AFFAIRS
THE LOAN DEBENTURES Debentures for the New Lynn drainage loan should be available in the near future. The town clerk, Mr. Greenslade, has finalised all formalities pertaining to the loan. Following on complaint regarding the dumping of nightsoil in the district, the sanitary inspector at New Dynn haS been busy endeavouring to alleviate the position. His efforts have at la3t been rewarded, a new site having been arranged for well outside the district. This should stop the procession of complaints received at the board’s office in connection with the existing dump. • « « The children of New’ Lynn School are to be warmly congratulated for their whiling response to the call of the unemployed fund. From the w T ee mite to the biggest boy contributions have been made to a collection to assist the needy, the result being a sum in the vicinity of £6. To this a subsidy is likely to be added by the School Committee, and the total will be expended on school ground improvements.
