PASSING OF ECCENTRIC

The pacer Eccentric, owned by Mr. R. T. Reid, president of the Waikato Trotting Club, died a few days ago. Eccentric won the first Free-for-all race in Christchurch and won races at Dunedin, Christchurch, Ashburton and Auckland. The gelding was regarded as one of the best pacers in New Zealand, and was pensioned off about four years ago, and up to the time of his death had the run of Mr. Reid’s farm at Hamilton. Eccentric was 21 years old.
