TE AWAMUTU BOWLERS

SEASON OPENED Splendid weather favoured the Te Awamutu Bowling Club on Saturday, when the official opening took place. Visitors were present from Cambridge, Morrinsville, Te Kulti, Otorohanga, Hamilton, Whitiora, Claudelands and Frankton and neeedless to say, one and all had a pleasant afternoon's bowling. The president, Mr. R. Ross, in welcoming the visitors, said it gave him great pleasure in seeing such a large attendance, and he trusted all would enjoy their games. The green was in splendid order, and Miss Marjorie Ross, amid applause, threw the jack, and the green was declared open for play. During an interval in the play the ladies dispensed afternoon tea in their usual capable manner.
