ARBITRATION COURT
FIXTURES ARRANGED Fixtures for the sitting of the Arbitration Court which commenced today were arranged at this morning’s sitting. Mr. Justice Fras:er presided, with him being Messrs. A. L. Monteith and W. Scott, employees’ and employers’ assessors respectively. Compensation cases will be heard on Wednesday, the sittings continuing until October 12. after which the court will leave for Hamilton. The following fixtures were strranged: COMPENSATION CASES October 5 Harris v. Ashburys, Ltd. Brown v. Leonard and Ding-ley. Remnant v. Roulston. Hinton and another v. Challenge Phosplate Company. October 7 Merz v. Mount Eden Motor Company, Crosby v. Union Steamship Company.. Lynch v. New Zealand Shipping Company. Aldridge v. N.Z. Shipping Company. October 8 Flight v. Auckland Harbour Board. Ocotber 12 Roberts v. Auckland Gas Co. Hammond v. Auckland City Council. Baker v. Masters. ' - - ENFORCEMENT OF AWARDS October 4 Inspector of Awards v. Charles Henry vv inship, Waitoino Electric-Power Board and Charles Chambers (trading as John Buchanan.) EXEMPTIONS AND AMENDMENTS October 6 Applications for exemption, ship assistants’ award, private hotel employees’ award and application for amendment, Auckland butchers' *ward, local body labourers’ dispute (wages only).. APPLICATION FOR ENFORCEMENT October 7 Inspector of Awards v. Northern .Steamship Company.
