“MISS N.Z.” FINALISTS’ TOUR RECEPTION AT WHANGAREI (Special to THE SUN.) WHANGAREI, To-day. A delightful garden party, given by the Mayor and Mayoress, awaited the “Miss New Zealand" finalists on their arrival at Whangarei. Votes from a, crowded Town Hall pla,ced Miss Andreasson first, and after her Miss Austen, Miss Spiers and Miss Graham in that order. The finalists reach Auckland via Dargavllle and Helensville on Monday Morning. The aggregate list now is: First. Miss Dale Austen (“Miss Otago”). Second: Miss Hazel Spiers ("Miss Wellington”). Third: Miss Vera Hodge (Maid of Honour to "Miss Otago”). Fourth: ’Miss Billie Andreasson (“Miss Auckland”). Fifth: Miss Leon McCall (“Miss Ca.nterbury”). Sixth: Miss Hildred Graham (Maid of Honour to “Miss Auckland”). Seventh: Miss Pat Smidt (Maid of Honour to “Miss Wellington”). Eighth: Miss Morgie Cameron (Maid of Honour to “Miss Southland”). Ninth: Miss Winnie Tonkinson (“Miss Southland”). Tenth: Miss Jane Kinsev (Maid of Honour to “Miss Canterbury”).
