OTAHUHU ARREST
CHARGES AGAINST A LABOURER BURGLARIES IN THE DISTRICT INURING the past 1$ moaths a series of burglaries has been committed in Otahuhu, to the consternation of the residents. Last evening the pol ce arrested Frederick Dixon, aged 42, a labourer residing at Otahuhu. on a charge of breaking and entering a house in Prince’s Street, Otahuhu. This morning he appeared at Otahuhu before Messrs S. Scown and J. Atkinson. J.P.’s, to answer the charge. Sergeant J. Parsons conducted the case for the police, and asked for a remand until next Friday. This was granted. It was stated that there are a number of other charges pending, and that they concern burglaries which have been committed in Otahuhu for the past IS months. During the la*-t month there was an epidemic of breaking and entering in the town.
