WHAT has become of the Takapuna steam tram?" asked Mr. P. Fraser, Wellington Central, while Mr. A. Harris was speaking in the House of Representatives to-night. Mr. Harris: Well, they are going very cheap just now. Mr. Fraser: But you have put buses on there, now. Mr. Harris: Yes, and they are working better, but I am talking of railways now, and the Takapuna tram, by any stretch of imagination, cannot be called a railway.
