APPRENTICESHIP PROBLEM COMMISSION WANTED A commission of enquiry into th& revision of the Appr«nticeshi p Act is wanted by the Auckland Employers’ Association. The annual meeting yesterday passed a resolution urging the Government ttf take those steps. The president. Mr. Albert Spencer, in his address had stated the unfairness of keeping boys out of trades. Mr. J. S. Dawes suggested that educational authorities should keep in touch with employers to see w.;at kind of training was needed. "The present position is a gross injustice to the boys,” said Mr. J. A. C, Allum. The president described the restrictions as “scandalous and wicked.” Mr. A. G. Limn said he agr«fed that the arbitration system should be reconstructed but not abolished. The presidential report was adopted.
