Won by two lengths, the same distance between second and third. Time, 1.16 3-5. A. Eastwood (Martian Spear) was suspended for one week for crossing too quickly in the straight. DOMAIN TROT 12 miles and 120 yards I—SADIE HUON, 24yds 1 5 RAP, 36yds 2 7 —KATOWA, 24yds 3 All started. Won by a length and alialf, half a length between second and third. Time, 3.51. Book Law three weeks ago won the St. Leger, and Lord Astor’s filly must be regarded as easily the best of her sex, and probably the best three-year-old. It is unfortunate that the death of the owner of the Derby winner. Call Boy, barred the colt from competing In the St. Leger and Jockey Club Stakes, both valuable races to win. Last year the Jockey Club Stakes was worth £6,366, of which the winner took £5,666, the breeder of the winner getting £2OO, and the other placed horses £4OO and £IOO respectively. It was in this race last year that the rank outsider, Foxlaw, beat the £IOO,OOO horse Solario (that figure was offered for him by the Aga Khan), Foliation and Comedy King, in a great finish. There was some interference, and Solario was disqualified from second place, and distanced. He started at heavy odds on.
