FREE SUPPLIES OF NEW POTATOES
CROP MATURING RAPIDLY Big supplies of new potatoes came cn the local market this morning. In or.« mart alone over 200 sack? came forward. With the warmer weather experienced lately crops are maturing rapidly in all parts, and small parcels are being duff and sent into Auckland from as far North as Russell and South from Puke-* kohe. The market is slightly easier for lower grades, though big well-grown tubers are still scarce and command a high price. The main crop should bs available within the next few week?.
