OPERATE ON SUNDAY advantage on short runs
the city tramcars were Discarded this morning with anMureements that penny fares would come into operation on Sunday next. This decision ms reached at a meeting of tlie City Council some leelts ago, when the first sections the centre of the city were cut in Saif and the whole of the sections generally revised. The alteration is expected to enurage a great deal more use being made of the trams for short trips of a tew stops. “At present we have omy one thing i ask. but we aak that most j amestly,” remarked Councillor J. Wellesley Street West—At junction with Hobson Street. Wellesley Street East —At junction with Symonds Street. Hsrne Bay route—At Billington Corner. Parnell route —At Stanley Street.
