O’Meara, secretary of the Waikato Racing Club, was a visitor to the Ellerslie track this morning, and trainers kept him busy writing down entries for his club’s meeting, to be held on October 21 and 22. From the amount of business he was doing it may be presumed that some good fields will compete on the splendid Te Rapa course. H. Wiggins will be exceedingly busy from now on, for he will be riding V. Collello’s team at Hastings on Saturday, and from there he will be at the Manawatu Hunt fixture next Wednesday, Otaki on October 7, and Auckland on October 8 and 10. Wiggins will be riding at Te Rapa on October 21, opening day of the Waikato meeting, and will leave that night so as to be in attendance at the Wellington meeting on October 22 and October 24.
