The final training gallops at Randwick this morning were held oil the course proper,, with the flags 30 feet out. The going was a trifle dead, but a slight breeze assisted the horses over the final half mile. Limerick pulled up exceptionally well, while Commendation showed signs of distress. Penman beat Sea Risk over seven furlongs in 1.31, and Ridge Mount was all out to do four in 515Amounis, led by Rozener, did seven in 1.29, and Aorangi, with Cawnpore as a mate over the last four went six in 1.18. MERRY MINT PLEASES Merry Mint was two lengths ahead of Sacedon and Ragazzo, doing ten furlongs in 2.9 J. He went exceptionally well. Star D.’Or ran away from Royal Lineage over eight furlongs in 1.45, and Arikiwai, Battlement and Lord Kennaquair finished in that order after doing ten furlongs in 2.121. Valdas beat Gothic by half a length over six furlongs in 1.165, and Vaals did seven nicely in 1.33.
