OVERSEAS LEAGUE
MEETING OF LOCAL BRANCH At a meeting of the Auckland branch of the Overseas League held in the Parnell Library Hall last evening, it was decided to take steps to increase the membership and improve the financial standing of the branch. The secretary, Mr. W. P. Gage-Brown, stated that tho league was not sufficiently prosperous for such a large and important city as Auckland. A committee of Messrs. Paterson, de Cuerrier, YV. J. Brown, Calder and Misses Montgomery, McClymont; and A. Walker was elected. Since its foundation in 1910, the parent society in Britain has grown steadily, until to-day the subscription membership to its magazine “Overseas” numbers over 32,000.
