WAIHI TERRITORIALS
DISTRICT RIFLE MEETING The 'Reglmenta.l District rifle meeting for Waihi Territorials was concluded on Saturday last at the local range. The weather was unfavourable to competitors, and in consequence the shooting was not up to the usual high standard. Nevertheless some good scores were registered in the rapid-fir-ing practice. The prize-winners were: Lieutenant Verry (56), £1; Private C. T. O’Neil (53), 15s; Private W. F. Button (5?), 10s; Private E. Saunders (56), 7 s 6d. lieutenant Verry acted as range officer and Staff-Sergeant-Major Patterson as organising secretary.
