ENERGETIC CARRIER

WORKS ON SUNDAY A Whangarei carrier, Alfred Beehre, who took a load of traveller’s samples to Dargaville one Sunday when such work was not a necessity, was prosecuted at Whangarei yesterday. Counsel for Beehre said it was necessary to get the goods over, and contended that it was “a put-up job” by another carrier, who was disappointed. Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.M., did not consider the case serious, and fined Beehre £1 and 10s costs.
