THAMES SPORTSMEN GOOD YEAR’S RECORD A satisfactory financial position was disclosed at the annual meeting of the Thames Rod and Gun Club on Saturday night. The president. Dr. J. B. Liggins, said he trusted the club would soon be in a position to instal automatic traps. He praised the high standard of shooting maintained by New Zealand sportsmen at the recent Australian meeting. Mr. C. W. Flett also spoke highly of the work of the secretary, Mr, G. Shaw. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as folloAVs: Patron, the Mayor of Thames. Mr. W. Bongard: president, Mr. J. B. Liggins: vice-presidents, Messrs. J. Crawford. E. J. Rensbaw, F. S. Mills, W. Jonassen, J. Awlinger, H. Hoyle, A. Geraty, C. Kelly, C. W. Flett, and W. Maher. It was decided to open the season on Saturday, October 1.
