THE MITCHELL SHIELD KAHUKURA’S. WIN The Mitchell Shield competition, under the auspices of the Rotorua Rugby Union, was concluded on Saturday. when Kuhukura defeated Waikite by 15 points (.5 tries) to 8 (.2 tri< s. 1 converted). The game was fast throughout, and despite a very ha d wind, the passing rushes indulged in by both sides were excellent. For Kahukura every man gave of his best, Reid. Corlett, Simmonds a id Steele being in the limelight throug lout Parakuka played a great game in the forwards. For Waikite Morgan. Davies and Pini were the pick. Morrison got many openings, but invariably dropped the ball.
