SMALL SCHOONER SOLD
RESOLUTION CHANGES HANDS BUILT AT NORFOLK ISLAND Although the name of the buyer has not yet been disclosed, it is reported that the small auxiliary two-masted schooner Resolution has changed hands. The deal followed upon a trial run round the harbour on Friday. The former owner, Mr. T. C. Webster, has at the request of the buyer, refrained from making the terms of the transaction public. The Resolution was built about IS months or two years ago at Norfolk Island, under the supervision of Captain Christensen, who later brought her to Auckland, arriving here on November 5, 1925. After having engines installed, the Resolution made several trips to Niue and Norfolk Islands. The auxiliary engines were not a success, however, and broke down continually. 3he came back from her last trip to Norfolk Island on February 11, 1926, and since then has been anchored in the “rotten row” of the Waitemata. The Resolution is regis.tered ais 29 tons gross.
