OPOTIKI BUTTER
SALES IN AUCKLAND FACTORIES CO-OPERATING (From Our Own Corresvondent) OIOTIKI To-day. At the annual meeting of shareholders of the Opotiki Dairy Association, Ltd., held on Saturday night, the chairman of directors, Mr. IT. R. Hogg, presided over a big attendance. He spoke briefly of the work o. the Dairy Control Board, and also stated tlmt half the output of the factory last season was sold on the loen! market. The result was that other factories were endeavouring: to quit their stocks in the Auckland market and the Opotiki Association had many difficulties to face there, and now there was closer co-operation on the Auckland market between factories as the result of the Opotiki butter sales increasing. The factory had already made good sales this season. The chairman concluded his remarks by stating that one of the directors. Mi*. J. T. Donaldson, was resigning owing to his impending departure from the district. Many’questions were asked by suppliers, some speakers questioning the wisdom of Mi. J. R. Sinclair holding th 3 dual position of manager and secretary. The election to fill two vacancies on j tho directorate resulted i i Messrs. E. j Parkinson and J. Wilson being rei elected. T. H. Pearscan was reapI pointed auditor. Mr. Reg Ai :*ken. of Aucdand, briefly addressed the meeting and—congratulated suppliers on the high quality of Opotiki butter, and stated the new season’s butter was of higher quality | than ever before.
