GLEN EDEN SCHOOL
SATISFACTORY PASSES The high standard of efficiency attained by the teaching staff at the Glen Eden School and the satisfactory passes recorded by pupils have been favourably commented on by the inspector of schools in a report received by the School Committee. The committee is desirous of assisting Auckland unemployed and with that object in view has sanctioned a “penny day” collection, conditionally that the children of unemployed parents be excluded from contributing. The provision of improved sanitary arrangements and a new playing area are questions at present engaging the attention of this progressive authority.
