EX-SERVICE LEAGUE

The recently-formed New Zealand Ex-Service League has arranged a special concert programme which will draw a large crowd to the Princess Theatre on Sunday evening. The overture will begin at a quarter to eight so that patrons will not be kept waiting. The orchestra, consisting of Messrs. F. Ansell, G. Hammond, E. Pickering, N. Volkner, B. Francis. E*>. Ahlers and M. Volkner, will play ’ Flag and Freedom” and the next item will be a song by Miss Diracco. Schubert’s March Militaire and Mascagni's famous Intermezzo will be played by an instrumental trio and as a variation Mr. Vernon will recite. Other items will be “Glamour of the Sword” (orchestra), a contralto song, cello solo and an -a-ccordion -sole.
