INTER-HOUSE RUGBY
MILNE’S V JOHN COURT’S
A very evenly-contested game was played on the Outer Domain yesterday between teams representing John Court, Ltd., and Milne and Choyce. Ltd., resulting in a win for Milne and Choyce by 9 to 8. For the winners Ohlson scored a great try a.fter a fine run, badly beating the J.CJL. backs, who were weak on defence. The shot at goal went wide. V. Smith and Kemp kicked penalty goals. For the loosers, S. Francis scored two great tries, after fine forward play, one being converted by R. Brown.
V. Smith played t rattling forward game for the winners. Mac McCarthy played well, but was short of a gallop. Ohlson was the best back. S. Francis was the best forward for the J.C.L., following up well and scoring two great tries. S. Scarborough and R. Brown hooked the ball from practically every scrum; the other forwards played well. F. Lowe, at half, and T. Hill, wing-threequarter, were the best of the backs, the others being weak both on attack and defence.
Mr. H. Robinson made a very efficient referee.
