A BRIGHT DANCE The dance held by the Dunedin Club in the Jewish Club Rooms last evening was a very bright affair. I 1 lag bridge was played in the card rooms by enthusiasts, and prizes were won by Mrs. Murdoch, Mrs. Laury and Mr. Wright. Dancing was enjoyed by the younger ones in the ballroom, which looked very effective with multi-coloured streamers and dainty petalled light shades against the soft, green panelled walls. Splendid music was appreciated by the danMrs. K. Raymond, who was a charming hostess, received the guests in a black satin and lace model gown worn over cloth of gold with a gold tissue Eastern shawl. During the evening Mrs. Reid, who is honorary pianist to the club, contributed a piano solo, and later played a hf dainty supper was served with the willing assistance of the gentlemen on the committee. On advice received late in the evening, Mr. Olliver moved that a telegram of congratulation be sent to Mr. Sidey on his successful support of the Summer Time Bill. This was duly carried by acclamation. Social chatter and more dancing concluded most enjoyable evening. Among those present were: Mrs. Reed, henna crepe de chine gown with gold lace. Mrs. Colegrave, cinnamon lace model with flame velvet relief. Mrs. Hammonds, black georgette frock sequined in silver. Mrs. Olliver, gown of lavender georgette beaded in crystal. Mrs. Glase, blue georgette gown and white fox fur. Mrs. Long, cherry georgette model with silver beading. Mrs. McGrewer, flame crepe de chine frock and an exquisite ivory shawl with batik relief. Mrs. Aitcheson, rule green and mauve chenille embossed georgette gown. Mrs. Lawry, black georgette gown figured- in ivory. Mrs. Murdoch, gown of henna georgette and ecru lace. Mrs. Scott, black sequined model. Mrs. Browne, ivory georgette frock, silver beaded, and cyclamen shawl. Mrs. E. C. Johnson, mauve frock of crepe de chine and silver lace. Mrs. Clark, silver diamante gown. Mrs. Pratt, poppy and velvet gown embossed with silver thread. Mrs. Hooper, black satin model. Mrs. Jones, gown of black beaded georgette. Mrs. Wright, cinnamon brown velvet frock. Mrs. Wilmot, black satin gown with lace. Mrs. Hammer, shell pink georgette frock with lilac relief. Mrs. <G. Lennox, maize net model sequined lin gold. Mrs. Snowden, black georgette gown. Mrs. Fulton, frock of sage green georgette. Miss Dennison, bouffante gown of lavender taffeta. Miss M. Miller, petunia georgette frock with transparent hem of silver lace. Miss Cox, lilac georgette gown beaded in crystal. Miss Garner, model in jade green and silver of French embossed satin. Miss Swallow, eau de nil georgette and silver lace. Miss lies, petunia crepe de chien appliqued in velvet and silver thread. Miss H. Bell, frock of tomato georgette beaded in silver. Miss D. Beehan, black lace gown with relief of jade green. Miss Earle, frock of golden-tinted chen-ille-embossed georgette. Miss Phillips, ecrue georgette model chenille embossed in black and flame shades. Miss Emerson, gown of black with turquoise blue shawl. Miss Frett, frock of flame velvet. Miss Dixon, peacock blue brocaded crepe de chine gown.
