TAUMARUNUI VALUES (From Our Own Correspondent) TAUMARUNUI, Wednesday. Weather conditions militated against the Taumaninui stock sale held on Tuesday, and the yarding was small compared with recent offerings. Cattle were easier in price, but sheep sold normally. Cattle.—Fat bullocks to £9; fat cows to £6; plainer sorts. £4 15s to £5; light speyed heifers, £4 5s to £4 12s €d; forward conditioned bullocks, £7 155.; store bullocks, £5 to £5 ss; rough bred bullocks, £4 to £4 15s; cows at late rates. Sheep. —Fat wethers to 25s 3d; fat ewes to 26s 3d; hoggets, 17s 3d. Pigs. —Weaners, 17s to 21s; porker 3, 27s to 32s 6<l. MARKETS FIRM The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report holding sales during the past week at Westfield, Papakura, Kaukapakapa and Waiuku. The firm also held two clearing sales. A steady demand exists for all classes cf stock and values are firm. The Franklin Jersey Breeders* annus.l sale, held at Pukekohe on Tuesday, in. conjunction ’with Alfred Buckiand ani Sons, was a most successful one. The firm quotes: Two-year reg. bulls. 15gns to 50gns; yelling bulls, Bgns to 40gns; older bulls, ihgns to 18gns; yearling reg. heifers, 23gns to 27gns.
