GLENDOWIE GOLF TOURNEY
ENTRIES CLOSE TO-DAY The last open amateur golf tournament of the local season will commence at Glendowie links on Saturday next, a good entry having already been made, including Sloan Morpeth, the New Zealand amateur champion, B. M. George and If. ID. Wright. The links promise to be in excellent order. The main event will be the Glendowie Cup, to be presented outright to the winner of the championship. Sixteen will qualify over 35 holes on Saturday for this: event, a 36-hole medal will be played in conjunction with the qualifying round. Flayers not qualifying will be drawn in a group handicap match-play competition. Entiles close with the secretary, Mr. E. E. Nalder. at 5 p.m. to-day.
