WALKING TOUR ROUND THE WORLD

CALL OF WANDERLUST NEW ZEALANDER LEAVES FOR ENGLAND V.'Ho vi/ould not answer the call of the wanderlust? Mr. Frank Stephenson has certainly done so. Having completed the first stage of his world tour from Wellington to Auckland, he will leave for England to-morrow. As Mr. Stephenson has unexpectedly arranged a passage or the Port Hunter. which will leave Auckland to-mor-row afternoon for England, there has been a readjustment of his plans. After a short stay in England, where he will lecture on the attractions of New Zealand in conjunction with a series of coloured lantern-slides, Mr. Stephenson will depart for Canada. By following the trappers in the far north of the American continent he hopes eventually to reach Alaska, and subsequently to return via Montreal. Prom Canada he will visit Spain, and return from Gibraltar to England. Mr. Stephenson, who is a school teacher, believes that his tour will occupy at least four years.

Mr. Stephenson had made arrangements for a young Wellington journalist to make the trip with him. At the last moment, however, he decided not to go. Consequently, this New Zealand globe-trotter would not now be averse from another companion. His walking average is 25.9 miles a day. So all intending applicants should bear this fact in mind!
