METHODIST MAORIS

CONFERENCE IN AUCKLAND The 1927 Methodist Maori Conference meets in Auckland this week. All earlier conferences have been held in Maori pahs, the last one being at the Maori “King’s” Village, Waahi, and the one preceding at Te Kuiti. The delegates are now arriving and the first session will be held on Tuesday evening. The secretary, the Rev. E. Te Tuhi, is in the city making preliminary arrangements and the chairman, the Rev. R. Tahupotiki Haddon, arrives by the express to-morrow morning. Tho delegates will be officially welcomed to the city at the great Maori Mission demonstration in the Town Hall on Wednesday evening.
