EVERYBODY’S

“CABARET”

Gilda Gray, famous for her shimmy and South Sea hula, and who proved her versatility by “knocking ’em dead” on the screen in “Aloma,” is now appearing in “Cabaret,” the second picture Gilda has made for Paramount, which is said to definitely establish Miss Gray as a movie star.

Written by Owen Davis and directed by Robert G. Vignola, “Cabaret” reaches these regions in the rear of an advance-guard which has already praised it to the skies. This remarkable tale of New York night life relates what is still an untold story, the remarkable happenings which went on behind the closcid doors of Club Costigan one evening last winter. Charlie Murray, whose original stage

success was attained while playing in the Murray and Mack combination for nearly twenty years, believes that he has found another great partner in the laugh-making Chester Conklin.

The two will be seen together in the leading roles of “McFadden’s Flats,” the comedy feature also on the programme at Everybody’s. Edward Small, of the firm of Asher, Small and Rogers, is responsible for bringing together the two celebrities, whose individual efforts have been responsible for so much entertainment in the past. Early showings of the picture in Hollywood resulted in many predictions that the two would become one of the famous fun affinities of the screen.
