WHANGAREI RIFLE CLUB

SUCCESSFUL SEASON The Whangarei Rifle Club held its annual meeting on Tuesday evening, presided ever by the president, Mr. P. J. Tobin. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. J. P. White; vice-president, Mr. C. Baker; secretary, Mr. H. Slade Clark; committee, Messrs. P. J. Tobin. E. A. Foote, E. A. Willcocks and D. Patterson. The annual report and balance sheet, showed a Very successful year. The trophies won in the various competitions held during the season were presented as follows:—A Championship, J. P. White (Ruakaka Cup and replica); B Championship, W„ Norris (gold medal); B. series, E. A. Willcocks (silver cake dish); B series, D. Patterson (rose bowl). A display of throphies won by the club and its individual members will be on view shortly in Mr. Slade Clark’s window, which should prove of keen interest to those following rifle shooting,
