COUNTY TREASURER ACQUITTED OF CHARGE
DISAPPEARANCE OF CHEQUE (From On*’ Oicn Correspondent J KAITAIA, Tuesday. The Bench holding that the evidence was not sufficient to justify his being sent up to face the Supreme Court, Charles McKinnon, Mangonui county treasurer, who appeared before two justices in the Kaitaia Police Court to-day on a charge of misappropriating a cheque for £l7 17s 6d, was acquitted.
