A programme of musical and other items designed for reception in Australia was broadcast yesterday under the direction of Mr. Gerald Marcuse, from his station at Caterham, Kent. The High Commissioner for Australia, Sir Granville Ryrie, contributed a speech to the programme. Arrangements have been made for relaying a programme by stations in Australia. A cablegram from Australia stated that the opening of yesterday’s programme had been well re- 1 ceived.—A. and N.Z.
