BOY’S SUDDEN DEATH
FOUND IN PLAYGROUND (From Our Own Correspondent.J O TORO HANG A, To-day’. The death occurred under tragic circumstances of James Addison, the seven-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Addison, Otorohanga. After leaving the school grounds at lunch time y’esterday', the boy' was found by Jerry Te Kanawa lying on his face in the playground. First-aid methods were applied and the boy taken to liis home, and a doctor summoned. but he was dead when the doctor arrived. A. post-mortem and inqiuest was held to-day. the doctor finding that death was due to asphyxia caused by an enlarged thymus gland and the coroner, Mr. R. M. Sommerville, Te Ivuiti, returned a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence. The boy was in the second standard, was one of the most intelligent youngsters of the district, and was universally loved and popularly and widely known as “Buzzy.”
