Two wins out of three will entitle the winners to the cup, which is new in the possession of America. In the lirst minute Hitchcock shot a goal for America to be followed toward the end of the chukhor by another by Stevenson. The American team played superbly. The British were extremely inaccurate, but they warmed up in the second chukhor and kept the ball nearly all the time In American territory. Twice Atkinson, who was playing like a demon, nearly shot a goal. He succeeded to the third chukhor and Hitchcock shot two. The British playnow vastly improved. Atkinson and Pert hitting well and following the bail. America in the fourth chukhor scored three goals. Hitchcock two and Webb one. Hitchcock's mallet work was unequalled. In the fifth Chukhor Mllburn shot two golds and in the sixth Hitchcock and Webb one each. In the seventh Webb scored one and Roarke one for the British. Atkinson was often forced out of losition by being compelled to piny the ball singly. The British missed many goals by inches, seeming to have ill-fortune after particularly good riding. In the eighth chukhor Webb : nd Pert each scored a goal, giving America the victory.—A. and N.Z. '
