GRAVE CHARGES
CORRUPTION IN AMERICA GOVERNOR AND MAYOR By Cable.- —Press Association. —Copyright NEW YORK, Saturday. A telegfein from Indianapolis says the Governor of Indiana, Edward Jackson, and two other officials have been indicted by a Grand Jury for attempted bribery and conspiracy to commit a felony. The Mayor of Indianapolis, J. Duvall, has been indicted for violating the Corrupt Practices Act. The indictments arose out of a long series of Court actions which involved Jackson’s predecessor, McCray, who has just served a term in prison following upon his conviction for embezzlement while in office. Revelations are said to have been made by high officials of the Ku Klux Klan, who now are also serving terms in prison. The result of a murder charge led the Grand Jury to start the investigation, which ended in the present indictments. —A. and N.Z.
