FIRE AT PARNELL
EARLY MORNING OUTBREAK RESIDENCE DESTROYED A house at 11 Takutai Street, Parnell, owned and occupied by Mr. G. Brett, was gutted by a fire which broke out about 1.47 this morning. The fire had a good hold when the City Fire Brigade was called out, and, in spite of all efforts, was completely destroyed. Little was saved from the building. The house was insured with the South British Company for £950, a policy for £250 on the contents being held in the same office. It is not known how the fire started.
