HUNTLY FOOTBALLERS
LEAGUE CLUB BALL The annual ball of the Huntly League Football Club was held on Friday evening. Maroon and gold, the club’s colours, predominated in the artistic colouring of the decorations. Mr. Arthur Harlock, president, and his strong committee, left no stone unturned to ensure a pleasant evening. “The trophies of the chase,” in the form of six handsome silver cups, formed an appropriate setting to the stage decorations, from the centre of which a wireles set operated, and at suitable intervals rendered some excellent vocal and instrumental relayed selections. The M.C.’s were Messrs. A. Allan, J. Green, and G. Kosoof. The music by Mrs. Brook’s orchestra left nothing to be desired. To the energetic secretary, Mr. Will Sheeran, fell no light task, and he is to be congratulated on the success of his efforts. The selection of the “belle of the ball” resulted in Miss Kathleen Teare securing the coveted honour. . She was gowned in a handsome cyclamen georgette, with sequin trimmings. She was presented with a gold wristlet watch as an accompaniment to the disi net ion.
