WHATAWHATA MEETING Despite the dull weather conditions which prevailed for. the Whatawhata coursing on Sunday afternoon, a fairly large attendance was present. The chief feature of the afternoon was the contest for the Leoninus Challenge Cup, which was won by Hurricane, owned by Messrs. Philmore Bros., of Rotorua. The results of the races were as follows: —First round: Blue Danube beat Pal Boy; Sure Sting beat Windbag; The Don beat Lady Swift;- Merry Dia-
dem beat Dusty; First Lady beat Allator; Jack Foy beat Master Swift; Hurricane beat Blue Danube; Achieve Pride beat Butty. First ties: Blue Danube beat Sure Sting; The Don beat Merry Diadem; Jack Foy beat First Lady; Hurricane beat Achieve Pride. Semi-final: Blue Danube beat The Don; Hurricane beat Jack Foy; Final: Hurricane beat Blue Danube.
