NEWSPAPER STAFF OUT By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Reed. 11.30 a.m. PERTH, To-day. Because they refused to pay the fines imposed as a result of the strike of the mechanical staff of the newspaper, “West Australian,” two members of the union were arrested and detained to serve three days’ imprisonment. The mechanical staff of the paper held stop-work meeting and adjourned for 24 hours. In consequence there will be no issue of the “West Australian” today.—A. and N.Z.
