Following the settlement of the Queensland railway strike, all short-distance trains resume running to-day, and long-distance trains to-morrow. The strike ended on Saturday. Representatives of the unions attended the Arbitration Court in the morning and accepted its terms. They gave an undertaking to declare the South Johnstone strike off. In the afternoon at a conference between the committee of the unions and the Premier, Mr. W. McCormack, the following terms were agreed to: The reinstatement of all the rail waymert. No victimisation. The men to sign a declaration agreeing to obey the instructions of the Railway Commissioner. The strike to be declared off from midnight.—A. and N.Z.
