CLAY BIRD SHOOTING

HAMILTON V AUCKLAND Clay-bird shooting is more than holding its own this season, and at the present time great interest is being displayed throughout the Dominion in the challenge match to be shot next Wednesday at Panmure between the Hamilton and Auckland Gun Clubs. The Hamilton Club specialises in clay-bird shooting, and its first team has a great reputation. The shooters representing Auckland are also well up to the standard, and a keen contest is assured. The Auckland club is installing a new automatic black diamond trap, which does not throw two birds the same angle in succession. This trap will be tried out to-morrow afternoon.

The winning team will receive a very handsome trophy donated by Mr. F. H. Seccombe.
