Ferner was appointed the: representative of the Auckland Education Board on the board of t2ie Elam School of Art yesterday. * * * Mrs. Doyle, cf Melbourne, is visiting* Auckland and is staying: at the Central Hotel. Mrs. L. Delph, of Middlemore, is at present paying a visit to Hamilton. Lady Marjorie Dalrymple, who has been the guest of Lady Wilson at Bulls, will leave New Zealand shortly for England. * * * Miss Grace Williams, of Hastings, is the guest of Mrs. A. Prior Williams, of Remuera. At the Central Hotel are Mr. and Mrs. T. Pilcher, of Wellington. Guests at the Star Hotel include Mr. and -Mrs. S. Robinson, of South Australia. * * Among those staying at the Hotel Gargen are Mr. and Mrs. S. Blackley, of Wellington. Mrs. and Miss Quirk and Miss O'Brien, of To Arolia, are at the Albert Hotel. At the Central Hotel are Mr. and Mrs. S. Carter, of Wliangarei.
