SOUTHLAND TOWN A “SEA OF WATER” Press Association. INVERCARGILL, To-day. As a result of heavy rain early in tl\e week, and melting snow in the mountain country, a considerable area ol river flats have been flooded. East Winton became a sea of water, and railway passengers had to be carried to the station in vehicles. All stock has been safely removed from tl-e inundated areas. The weather is now fine and the rivers are falling.
