MADAME ALDA ENDS A CONTROVERSY
A controversy Has ended. Madame Frances Alda Has stated definitely that she was born in Christchurch, New Zealand. During his visit to Australia Mr. Dan O’Connor met the famous singer, who was rather amused at the controversy which has been raging about her place of birth. She told him that she was born at Christchurch and was quite definite about
Madame Alda told Mr. O’Connor, w bo returned by the Ulimaroa today, that she is looking forward with the greatest of pleasure to her New Zealand tour. “I can’t get over quick enough” she said to him before he left Sydney.
