Mr. Williams’s step-niece, Miss Lilia Williams, came over from Canada to be a bridesmaid, arriving three weeks before the wedding day, and Mr. Williams at once fell in love with her. Counsel said the other girl had come into a substantial dowry, end it seemed that Mr. Williams had exercised a certain amount of foresight. Damages of £l5B were awarded to Miss Cook.
