THEFTS AT HAWKE’S BAY
HOUSES BROKEN INTO BOYS ARRESTED IN BED Press Association. DANNEVIRKE, Sunday. Albert Arthur Dempsey, aged 17, and Walter Frederick Dempsey, aged 20. of Waimate, South Canterbury, while passing through Southern Hawke's Bay, are alleged to have called at the houses of Alfred Gray, near Woodville, and Donald Nicholson, Piripiri, and stolen jewellery and other articles valued at over £3O.
They were arrested late on Friday night in bed near Norse wood, and appeared in the Dannevirke Police Court yesterday morning on charges of burglary and theft. They were remanded to appear on Monday.
