HORTICULTURAL SHOW
DAFFODILS AT TE AROHA The daffodil show held at Te Aroha yesterday by St. Mark’s Horticultural Society was very successful. Mrs. E. A. Bruce, for the second year in succession, won the championship. Other prizes were won as follows: Class I.—Collection narcissi, 12 varieties: Mrs. F. Strange, 1; Mrs. Bruce, 2. Class 2.—Collection narcissi, 6 varieties: Mrs. Strange, 1; Miss McCormick, 2. Class 3.—Three varieties: Mrs. Halligan, 1; Mrs. Milne, 2. Class 4.—Three blooms, trumpet daffodils: Mrs. Bruce, 1; Mrs.
Holmes, 2. Class s.—Three blooms narcissi. Incomparabilis: Mrs. Bruce, 1: Mr. Toms. 2. Class 6.—Three blooms narcissi Barrie: Mrs. Strange, 1; Mr. Toms, 2. Class 9.—Six blooms anemones, single: Mr. Bush, 1; Leslie Norrel, 2. Class 10.—Six blooms anemones, double: Mr. Bush, 1; Mrs. Milne. 2. Class 12. —Six blooms primroses. Polyanthus: Mrs. Bruce 1 and 2. Class 13.—Twelve blooms pi'imroses. single: Mrs. Strange, 1; Mi's. Milne, 2. Class 14.—Twelve violets, blue: Mrs. Strange, 1: Mr. Toms, 2. Class- 15. Twelve violets, white: Mrs. Strange. Class 16.—Six hyacinths, any colour: Mrs. Holmes, 1; Mr. Toms, 2. Class 17.—Six spikes freesias: Mrs. ITolmes, 1: Mrs. Mackie, 2. Class IS.—Six stock: Mrs. Bruce. Class 24.—Camellias, three varieties: Mrs. Strange. Class 25.—Collection six varieties cut shrubs: Airs. Bruce, 1: Mrs. Strange, 2. Class 26.—Lady’s spray and buttonhole: Mr. Bush, 1 and 2. Champion medal: Airs. Bruce.
