CLAY BIRD CHAMPIONSHIP
WOW BY McMIKEN (From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Thursday. The Auckland clay bird shooting provincial championship was held today under the auspices of the Hamilton Gun Club and the title was annexed by W. J. McMiken, who again shot with consistency, using his second barrel only once. The best scores registered in the championship match of 21 birds were as follow:—J. McMiken 21, H. Dobson 20, C. Seddon 19, J. Amundsen 19, R. Clinch 19, G. Shaw 19, H. Clinch 18, G. Peach 35, S. Parlour 13. In a further 10-bird match G. Peach made 10, G. Shaw 10, E. Thornton 10, C. Seddon 10, H. Dobson 10, All shot the possible, while W. J. McMiken, W. O’Kane and J. Parlour were next with nine each. The winners divided tli*■ prize money.
