ROAD GIVES WAY

CAR TURNS SOMERSAULT The clay road on the way to Maratoto on Tuesday evening gave way owing to the heavy rain and a motorcar, driven by Mr. A. Willie, of Auckland, went over the bank. The car turned a somersault and came to rest against a wire fence. With the exception of bruises Mr. Willie escaped injury, but he was extricated by his three passengers with difficulty. One passenger had his wrist sprained, but the others escaped. The runningboard, hood and windscreen of the car were damaged.
